- The Flying Dutchman is a legendary ship the phantom of which even nowadays may be seen in the ocean. According to legend the captain of this ship killed the husband of a girl he liked and proposed her and a girl threw herself overboard. Later there was a strong storm in the sea and captain killed the members of the crew that wanted to stay in the port while storm. In such way a ship was cursed and from that time the captain can't go ashore.
- Canterville ghost is one of the most famous ghosts thanks to Oscar Wild. In reality this ghost didn't exist but is the character of one of stories of Oscar Wild. This story tells us about terrible ghost that lives in the castle that was bought by the family. But story is very optimistic and has a happy end.
- The Phantom of the Opera. It is a world famous film. And according to this film there were a lot murders in the theatre and people thought that these murders were made by a phantom.
