Ghosts: Friends or Enemies?
Ghosts? What are they?
Every day we hear that people saw ghosts, communicated with them, were even killed by them. But still their existence wasn't proved by science. People try to take photos of them, videos or at least to get any proof of their existence. But all these attempts are useless. Ghosts, spirits, poltergeist, angels, and demons are a huge sphere for investigation.
Almost every nation and every culture had some legends and stories connected with them, and all of them pictured this phenomenon in different ways. There are a lot of witnesses that claim they saw ghosts or spirits and some of them even have photos of ghosts. But only one photo of all was said to be authentic and not falsified. The others were either the distortion of the light or special falsification.
Anyway people want to find the answers connected with ghosts and spirits. At least they want to answer whether they exist or not.
There are several definitions of ghosts and each depends on the attitude of a person to this phenomenon. But the most common is: ghost – is illusion, image (usually visual) that has the look of a person, animal or other object but that is not this person, animal or an object and has the qualities that are not proper for this person, animal, object. In other words it is an image without bearer. There are a lot of beliefs connected with ghosts and spirits.
The notion "a ghost" includes a lot of kinds of phenomenon that sometimes even have different precedence. It may have different shapes, forms, sizes, colours, etc.
There are good and evil ghosts that may disturb people or even help them.
There are people who believe in them and sceptics that think that ghosts are the result of vivid imagination. They also say that it is a result of psychological disorders or disorders of mental activity.
The precedence of this phenomenon is not explained also. There are several theories that try to explain the origins of this phenomenon. But it is very difficult to investigate it because scientists are even not sure about the existence of the object of investigation. But still there are a lot of people who believe in ghosts and their existence and sometimes even try to talk to them.
People have always been interested in paranormal and unknown. That is why they are so interested in ghosts that are one of the most popular topics in society. Gutter press always tries to attract attention of the readership thanks to articles about spirits and ghosts. And it works.
Ghosts influence our life a lot. People don't buy houses if some horrible tragedy happened in it, because they believe that a spirit lives there, they don't visit ancient castles because of the same reason.
But nowadays people are very much interested in ghosts and places they live in. They spend nights in places where ghosts were met hoping to meet them, they try to take photos of them and even try to talk to these spirits trying to get useful and necessary information.
